Still updating products, prices, and orders in both Business Central and Shopify by hand? OmniConnect by Codeunit eliminates manual data entry between your ERP and storefront — keeping catalogue, inventory, pricing, customers, orders, and returns in sync automatically.
Built for B2C and B2B merchants on Business Central, the connector fits any commerce setup — from a simple online store to wholesale operations with multiple locations and company accounts.
What It Does
- Product Catalogue Management — Products, variants, images, metafields, metaobjects, and collection assignments are pushed from Business Central to Shopify and kept current.
- Inventory Synchronisation — Stock quantities are pushed to Shopify per location, with new assignments activated automatically and optional unit cost updates.
- Pricing Synchronisation — Base prices and customer-group price lists are applied to Shopify variants and price lists, with optional SparkLayer routing for B2B merchants.
- Order Fulfilment and Delivery Status — Shipments posted in Business Central fulfil Shopify orders automatically, including click-and-collect and in-store pickup.
- Sales Orders and Invoices — Order confirmations and invoices are written back to Shopify as metadata or draft orders, and marked as paid when the invoice balance clears.
- Customer Synchronisation — B2C contacts and B2B company accounts with contacts, locations, and catalogue associations are kept in sync between both systems.
- Returns Management — Credit memos are pushed to Shopify as refunds or returns, and Shopify refunds are imported as return orders, with Narvar integration in both directions.
- Order Import — Shopify orders arrive in Business Central via webhooks in real time, with sync rules for tag or source filtering and split-fulfilment support.
- Product Change Notifications — Shopify product and variant IDs are synchronised back to Business Central to keep outbound flows accurate, and deletions are propagated automatically.
- Shipment Confirmation — Fulfilments from third-party providers in Shopify are imported into Business Central as sales shipments with tracking details.
Key Benefits
- Bidirectional synchronisation — Products, inventory, pricing, customers, orders, and returns flow in both directions, keeping both systems aligned at all times.
- Real-time order processing — Orders, refunds, customer changes, and fulfilments arrive via webhooks the moment they occur, with no polling required.
- B2B and B2C support — Both consumer storefronts and Shopify B2B company accounts are supported, including contacts, ship-to locations, role assignments, and price lists.
- Flexible order routing — Sync rules based on order tags or source application control which orders are imported, keeping multiple sales channels separate.
- Comprehensive returns handling — Credit memos and Shopify refunds flow in both directions, with line matching and Narvar integration for return portals.
